I found more artwork!

So I've been going through the mounds and mounds of stuff in my house, getting ready to move (my house is going on the market by next month, around the same time I go back to school) and I found two whole portfolio folders full of stuff from my high school art class....just random portrait studies and paintings and even some plexiglas etchings and their prints. SO, I thought I'd go ahead and share my findings with everyone. After all, I have been focusing pretty much totally on photography all summer, so here's a lovely artsy break!

First off, we've got a collage I made around a sketch I did on stiff paper with Conte, which is like chalk, just fancier I guess

This is a print made from a piece of plexiglas, painted, then hard-pressed onto I think watercolor paper.

This was a piece imitating Cubism, I did half of the butterfly normal and the other half "geometrically," or "cubistic." The branches are also mixed media, with wrinkled up construction paper glued onto the canvas.

This was just a sketch done in class for practice. Kind of like a workshop.

Pastels or chalk, I can't remember, on black cardboard, just some bottles in an abstract way

Pastel calla lilly on some sort of paper, probably watercolor

Definitely pastels on thin paper

Still life drawing (boring)

Ta Daaaaa!

  1. Hi, Jess! Good luck with your move! Nice art pieces! :-)

  2. I agree, nice art pieces and interesting to see all different mediums/styles and subjects. Keep exploring!

  3. Great forms, shapes & colours. Love your collage & especially your pastels work, the Buenos Aires. Great shapes & colour composition. Keep up the good work.
